Ronald J. Allen is a seasoned construction executive and community leader with more than three decades of experience in real estate development, general contracting, and commercial construction across Florida’s Gulf Coast. As Chairman and Owner of NDC Construction Company, Ron has led the delivery of some of the region’s most impactful civic, educational, and healthcare projects—earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship, integrity, and long-term partnership.
Ron attended the University of Pittsburgh and began his career in business and real estate before joining NDC in 1997. He became a minority owner in 2000 and acquired full ownership of the firm in 2008. Under his leadership, NDC has delivered more than 10,000 units of housing and a diverse range of public and private projects, including Pirate City, the J.P. Igloo Ice Complex, Bradenton City Centre, and multiple Lakewood Ranch Medical Office Buildings. Current projects include the new Art Center Manatee, the future home of the Bradenton Police Department, and the Lake Manatee K–8 school.
Ron’s expertise spans ground-up construction, tenant improvements, public-private partnerships, and master-planned developments. In addition to leading NDC Construction, he also serves as Principal of NDC Development Company, NDC Commercial Real Estate, NDC Asset Management, and NDC Realty. Across these roles, he brings strategic oversight and local insight to a broad portfolio of projects that support long-term community and economic growth.
A deeply engaged civic voice, Ron has served on more than 20 boards and committees throughout his career. His leadership roles include:

- Past Chairman, YMCA of Manatee County

He is also a member of the Florida Planning & Zoning Association and the National Association of Industrial & Office Parks. In 2022, Ron was honored by the Boy Scouts of America Southwest Florida Council for his lifelong commitment to service and leadership.
Under Ron’s leadership, NDC was awarded the Department of Defense Seven Seals Award in recognition of its commitment to hiring and supporting active-duty military personnel.
Ron and his wife, Dawn, have five children—four of whom live locally—and seven grandchildren.
