With more than 40 years in the construction industry, Charles (Charlie) Scott brings significant expertise to his role as NDC’s Director of Preconstruction and Senior Vice President. He has successfully managed educational, municipal, and governmental projects valued up to $200 million, earning a reputation for strategic thinking, efficiency, and collaborative leadership.
Prior to NDC, he worked with a top-50 ENR-ranked contractor for twenty years, managing projects that included the $109 million MBTA North Station Parking Garage and the $200 million Logan Airport Terminal E renovation. This experience on large-scale, complex projects established his reputation for strategic preconstruction planning and cost control.
Since joining NDC, Charlie has successfully delivered projects throughout Florida’s Gulf Coast, including the Pirate City Training Facility, the Bradenton Riverwalk, RiverSong Apartments, and high school expansions throughout Manatee County.
In his role, he leads budgeting, cost estimating, constructability reviews, and scheduling for NDC’s projects. He works closely with clients, design teams, and NDC staff to ensure projects are positioned for success before ground is broken. His approach focuses on identifying potential challenges early, keeping costs in check, and maintaining project schedules.
Charlie holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology and an A.S. in Architectural Engineering from Vermont Technical College. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and member of the Florida Green Building Coalition. His expertise in green building practices helps clients achieve sustainability goals while preserving cost efficiency and construction quality.
His methodical approach and deep technical expertise continue to serve as a foundation for NDC’s most complex projects.
