Translating Operational Needs Into Advanced Law Enforcement Facility
Translating Operational Needs Into Advanced Law Enforcement Facility
After more than twenty-five years, the Bradenton Police Department had outgrown the headquarters it shared with City Hall. Needing additional space for officers and state-of-the-art crime-fighting technology, a new 50,399-square-foot headquarters has been commissioned. The building will be centrally located within the city, enabling better access and service for the Bradenton community.
NDC Construction is working with world-renowned architects, AECOM, on this ambitious project. In addition to expanded office space for the patrol, records, and administrative services divisions, the facility will house a Real Time Crime Center equipped with advanced crime prevention technologies, including predictive analytics to support specialized units. Additional features include a modern crime lab, expanded evidence storage, and training facilities designed to advance officer development. New public meeting spaces and press rooms will foster vital community access and engagement.
The expanded headquarters will also offer much-needed hurricane protection. After experiencing repeated damage from past severe storms, the department had to proactively evacuate vital equipment and evidence in advance of Hurricane Milton.
A separate 61,105-square-foot parking garage is being constructed to house patrol vehicles and provide much-needed employee parking.

This facility is among the most complex public safety builds in our region…Throughout the process, the NDC team has demonstrated a rare combination of precision, agility, and construction fluency… They’ve taken the time to understand the operational realities of our future facility and have translated those into practical, buildable solutions.
