Renovation Brings New Tech and Critical Infrastructure

Renovation Brings New Tech and Critical Infrastructure

Rapid community growth means an increasing student population. To address this vital need, NDC Construction partnered with architect Long & Associates, Inc., to overhaul Braden River Middle School and expand its capacity.

Because the project launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous challenges arose when it came to procuring materials and coordinating logistics. However, NDC Construction navigated these obstacles, delivering the final project on time and within budget.

With school in session during much of the construction, all activities were carefully coordinated to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and the general public.

The project incorporated a complete interior renovation of the campus. This ranged from expanding the cafeteria and introducing a new outdoor patio area to reconfiguring the school’s entrance to provide a secure, single point of entry. New classrooms were built, and science labs were renovated. Teachers were enthusiastic about the newly enhanced technology, which enables them to reach students with various learning styles. New heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC), as well as new electrical, low voltage, plumbing and fire protection systems, were installed, providing critical infrastructure to the campus.
