Filling a Vital Need in Manatee County
When Grand Palms was proposed, the new 55+ community project addressed some of Manatee County’s most pressing challenges. The complex would provide much-needed affordable housing for seniors, and its location—along Bradenton’s 14th Street corridor—would contribute to revitalizing downtown.
NDC Construction partnered with RDL Architects and developer Jonesboro Investments Corp. to bring this tax credit-funded project to life.
The new four-story complex contains 72 apartments. Ranging from one to two bedrooms, each apartment features granite counters, a walk-in shower, full-size appliances, and ceiling fans. Shared amenities include a fitness center, a community room, a computer center, a reading area, and a café. Limited to income-qualified seniors 55 and over, the community is pet friendly and has a dog run.
Grand Palms earned Platinum-level certification from the Florida Green Building Coalition with a score of 191 points—the highest ever recorded in the coalition’s High-Rise Residential Building category.
