Twenty Years of Building Community Through the Arts
For more than twenty years, NDC Construction has been a proud partner of the Florida Cultural Group, formerly known as the Manatee Players. The partnership began with the construction of a new state-of-the-art performing arts theater near the Bradenton Riverwalk.
The Manatee Players Performing Arts Center (MPAC) was built in phases that matched the organization’s fundraising progress, ensuring available funds were used as effectively as possible.
In 2013, the 28,000-square-foot performing arts facility was completed. Home to a 300-seat main theater, the location also hosts a 125-seat Studio Theater, a scene shop, dressing rooms, administrative offices, and youth classrooms.
Also in 2013, NDC Construction built the 14,000-square-foot second-floor Kiwanis Wing addition, which provided two event halls, a catering kitchen, a costume shop, and restrooms. Perhaps most notably, the second-floor addition was completed while the main theater hall was operational.
NDC Construction has performed additional capital improvements for MPAC, including a porte-cochère in 2015, providing an elegant entrance that is covered and accessible for patrons. The following year, a 246-space parking lot was constructed.
As the Florida Cultural Group continues to expand, NDC Construction remains committed to supporting their mission of bringing the performing arts to the community.
